The Blaze – According to the NYPD, Trump tower in Midtown Manhattan, situated on 5th avenue, had to be evacuated Tuesday afternoon due to the appearance of a “suspicious package.”
The alarm was raised when an unattended backpack was spotted in the tower, causing suspicious to be raised. However, NYPD responded quickly and investigated the backpack, only to find that it was completely safe.
Suspicious package at Trump Tower has been examined by NYPD Bomb Squad. Deemed to be an unattended bag and safe.
Trump Tower has been the Trump Transition Teams defacto headquarters since President-elect Donald Trump won the 2016 elections. However Trump is currently in Florida.As of New York Police have officially given the “all clear.”
